About Us

The NSCC is a nonprofit organization operated by volunteers.  Revenue is generated by annual dues, merchandise sales, and donations.  Funds are budgeted periodically for a national conference to be held at locations around the United States and to maintain the publication of a club magazine filled with informative articles and pictures of Shelley and Wileman (the predecessor to Shelley) china.  The Club also supports a variety of other functions such as regional meetings, Shelley sales and other events.

  1. To give people a chance to share their love of Shelley China with others who also love and collect Shelley China.
  2. To provide a forum for education and information about our common passion--hunting for, collecting and finding out all there is to know about Shelley Potteries and Shelley China.

The Club operates under a set of Bylaws.  Officers of the Club include a president, president-elect, secretary and treasurer.  The officers work with the board of directors who represent different areas of the country and are elected to serve three year terms.

Our Bylaws say it well:

The National Shelley China Club is a non-profit organization administered through an all volunteer initiative dedicated to promote interest, education and research regarding Shelley china and related Shelley potteries. It is committed to being a preeminent organization responsive to the interest of its members.
